COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION DIVISION

Comprehensive access to knowledge and information is widely recognised as playing a significant role in human rights education and advocacy. The function of information and documentation centres is to provide greater access to information for the broadest user-ship they can reach.

A proactive public relations effort can link a variety of audiences and positively influence opinions. The ability of public relations to identify issues that impact promotion, to handle crisis situations and to counsel top management, can exert enormous influence on marketing success and failure.

Through various strategies FHRI enters the public forum to frame, present and influence concerns about FHRI, its work and point of view. Public relations are about credible information to the product message. The overall objective of the division therefore is:

To promote information flow and build the corporate image of FHRI.

The Communication and Information Division has three activity areas:
  • The Information Center,
  • Public Affairs Unit, and
  • Documentation Unit.
