Human rights reform agenda

Uganda is currently at crossroads. The Government has the difficult task of on one hand adhering to international principles and regulations while at the same time ensuring to maintain the electorate’s support, especially in the context of the upcoming 2016 elections. The tide is running high, with a regime focusing on survival and a population that is increasingly seen to be despondent due to high unemployment levels and a growing dissatisfaction with the incumbent regime.
