Juvenille Justice in Uganda, January - July 2009

Children are an especially vulnerable group. The protection guaranteed to children under international and national law is in addition to and not separate from the protection guaranteed to all individuals by law. The government of Uganda has domesticated the key international and regional standards into national laws, rules and procedures. This report analyses the measures in place and the treatment of children in conflict with law in Uganda.
