PROGRAMME ACTIVITIES

Under the current and ending three-year programme (2009-2011), FHRI continues to upscale its engagement with the state, focusing more on practice as a basis for policy advocacy. Given the current political environment, the agenda revolves around six themes: civic participation, access to justice, freedom of expression, association, assembly including the media, right to life, liberty and security of person, judicial independence and integrity and leadership development of human rights defenders.

These key themes are executed under the following divisions:
