FHRI in partnership with Humanist Institute for Development Co-operation (HIVOS) with financing from the European Union is implementing a 15 month project aimed at promoting Access to Justice for socially deprived women and children in six selected districts in Uganda, these include: Busia, Kalangala, Sembabule, Kiboga, Kasese and Lira. Baseline surveys were conducted in the six selected districts in Uganda, so as to document the key practical human rights issues and challenges on the ground in the districts in regard to gender based violence with specific reference to women and children.
