Eastern Africa International Criminal Justice Initiative

The East Africa International Criminal Justice Initiative is jointly implemented by the Foundation for Human Rights Initiative and the Kenya Section of the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ-Kenya) in Uganda.

The EAICJI aims at creating awareness and enhancing capacity of stakeholders including the media, civil society, judicial officers and Members of Parliament in select African countries, Uganda being one of them, by interacting with stakeholders on the role, functions and importance of the International Criminal Court in order to transform it into an effective tool in the fight against impunity for the gravest crimes committed in violation of international law in the wider Eastern Africa region
